Item 20: Closed Session. Administrative Adjudication (Gov. Code § 11126(c)(3).). The Commission reported out of closed session they are reducing the fine on count 1 to $1,500 and accepting the ALJ proposed fined on counts 2-5 as well as accepting technical changes.
Item 21: Commissioner Comments and Proposed Future Agenda Items. Commissioner Hatch wants to discuss upcoming legislation to address political parties using money to pay for harassment claims. Commissioner Hayward would like to discuss how to address foreign agents participating in domestic campaigns. Chair Miadich discussed the future need to explore how to help refine the new CARS system.
