Below is a summary of the actions of the Fair Political Practices Commission during its monthly hearing. The meeting agenda can be found on our website at www.fppc.ca.gov.

Roll: Chair Miadich and Commissioners Baker, Ortiz, Wilson, and Wood were in attendance.

Item 2: Minutes from the October 2023 Commission Hearing. Approved 5-0.

Item 3: Enforcement Action. Approved 5-0.

Item 4: Enforcement Action. Motion to modify the proposed default to increase the penalties for counts 11- 20 from $4,000 to $5,000 each, totaling a default amount of $100,000. Secondly, the FPPC Commission directs the Executive Director to pursue the new Collections authority to make this a priority matter for Collections purposes and to pursue all means at the Executive Director's disposal to ensure the FPPC recovers the full measure for this default. Approved 5-0.

Item 5: Enforcement Action. Approved 5-0.

Item 6: Adoption of the 2023/2024 Statement of Economic Interest, Form 700. Approved 5-0.

Item 7: Motion to Vacate Default Decision and Order, Jose Pech; FPPC No. 19/1407. Motion to vacate denied 5-0.

Item 8: Adoption: Proposed Amendments to Regulation 18202. Quasi-Legislative Administrative Action. Approved 5-0.

Item 9: Potential Regulation Projects in 2024. Information Item.

Item 10: Prenotice: Amendments to Regulation 18360.1, 18360.2 and 18360.3. Discussion Item.

Item 11: Legislative Update. Motion to approve the entire Legislative 2024 proposal. Approved 4-0. Commissioner Wood abstained.

Item 12: Executive Staff Report. Accepted as submitted.

Item 13: Commissioner Comments and Proposed Future Agenda Items. Commissioner Baker requested a follow-up on public comment received regarding harassment.
